Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey scored in Arsenal’s 1-1 draw against Brentford on Saturday in the premier league. After a stellar performance against Real Madrid, the midfielder was deployed at right back against Brentford.

Arsenal thought they had taken the lead when Kieran Tierney headed in Ethan Nwaneri’s cross, but a video assistant referee check ruled it out for an offside.

After recess, Partey broke the deadlock on the 61st minute after brilliant work by Declan Rice. The goal was Partey’s 4th goal of the season. His highest tally in a season since joining Arsenal in 2020.

Liverpool can move 13 points clear when they host West Ham today (Sunday). However, Arsenal’s focus now moves to their Champions League second leg in Madrid on Wednesday.
