Our Footballers Would be Unstoppable If We Had Half Of Facilities In South Africa – Coach Maxwell Konadu

The absence of football facilities and equipment are major setbacks in Ghana Football. Colt’s football and top tier have been grappling with this problem for some time now. Most often than not the Club licensing Policy has to be made flexible for clubs in the Ghana premier league to compete at various match venues.

Coach Maxwell Konadu has opened up on the lack of football facilities and equipment in Ghana. He bemoaned over the disparity between football facilities in Ghana and South Africa. The Ex-coach of Black Leopards believes Ghanaian footballers stands to benefit a lot if they were exposed to half of the football facilities in South Africa.

” If our (Ghanaian) players had access to even half the facilities available in South Africa. Ghanaian Football would be unstoppable, from a young age, they have access to good pitches, quality equipment, structured youth academies, and financial stability”

The Ghana Football Association is bent on mitigating the challenge through donation of footballs, gloves, jerseys and boots to colt teams and clubs in the top division, but the disparity compared to countries like South Africa is a major concern.
