The President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku is set to contest for an Executive Council position of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) according to several reports.
The CAF Review Committee has declared Mr. Okraku eligible to contest the election after he passed an integrity and eligibility test. Mr. Kurt E.S Okraku has also met all the necessary ethical criteria set by CAF including compliance with CAF and FIFA’S ethics code, clean criminal record, financial integrity, no involvement in doping or match-fixing as well as background in football governance amongst others. The CAF EXCO Elective Congress will take place in Cairo, Egypt, on March 12, 2025.
Having being cleared, Kurt Okraku would be eligible to run for a position on the CAF EXCO.
