Medeama SC fought hard to record a draw against Kumasi Asante Kotoko on match week 16 of the 2024/2025 Ghana premier league at the Tarkwa TNA Sports Stadium.
Kwame Poku broke the deadlock on his first start for Asante Kotoko with a header in the 47th minute. Poku rose high to drill in a beautiful at the near post just before half time.
Back from recess, the likes of Bernardinho, Derek Fudjour and Kofi Babil were up and running in search of an equalizer. That mantle fell on enterprising full back Kamaradini on the 67th minute. The two teams kept it going but strong defensive play meant no team was going to concede.
The draw ends Asante Kotoko’s four game winning run. Kotoko drops to 6th on the league table with 28 points meanwhile Medeama SC are in s7th position with 25 points.
