Accra Hearts of Oak secured a resounding win over division two side Immigration in the 2024/2025 MTN FA Cup at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
The round 64 fixture started slowly as both teams sized up each other. Back from recess Hearts of Oak opened the floodgates. Martin Karkari opened the scoring with a lovely strike. This was followed by a brace from Mawuli Wayo. Six minutes to full time the Phobians made if four via Stephen Appiah.
The victory advance Hearts of Oak to the round 32 stage of the competition. The comfortable win is refreshing as they prepare to face Asante Kotoko at the Babayara Sports Stadium following the resumption of the Ghana premier league on 14th December, 2024.
