PITCH INVADER MOHAMMED HUZEINU FACE 100 DAYS PRISON SENTENCE

Mohammed Huzeinu, a 21-year-old man was arrested for invading the pitch during Ghana’s World Cup qualifying match agaimst Chad. He will face a sentence of 100 days in prison.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has paid $30,000 in expenses due to fans invading the pitch during Black Stars games.

The FA paid $20,000 for the incident which happened at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi during the game between the Black Stars and the Central African Republic.

There was another incident at the Cape Coast stadium where the Ghana FA paid $10,000.

Such actions disrupt the game, an offense that has potential financial consequences for the GFA, as the Association is likely to be fined whenever such incidents occur. Hzeinu’s punishment is expected to serve as deterrent to others.
