FORMER BLACK STARS GOALKEEPER STEPHEN AHORLU LOOK UNRECONGNIZABLE

Former Black Stars goalkeeper Stephen Ahorlu rose to prominene in the late 2000’s with Ghana premier league side Heart of Lions. Known for his agility, commanding presence and shot stopping ability, he won the heart of most football fans on the local scene. A move to Serbia followed after the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Since then much hasn’t been heard from the safest pair of hands.

Stephen Ahorlu returned to football after retiring and is hoping to pass on his wealth of experience to the next generation of goalkeepers. Recent picture of him sent people guessing as to who he was. He appears to have really aged well. Perhaps fans could not recognize because of his decision to keep a low profile after retiring.

On his whereabout, Ahorlu is currently the goalkeepers trainer for Ghana premier league side Heart of Lions. Thanks to him, the team is yet to concede in 11 consecutive home matches.
