Assistant coach of the Sudanese National team Coach Ignatuis Osei Fosu incured the wrath of football fans in Ghana for putting Arsenal midfielder ahead of former Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien.
In an interview with Pure FM, Ignatius opted for Partey over Essien after comparing the two midfielders.
“Thomas Partey is a better footballer than Michael Essien. I watched Partey bossed a midfield trio of Busquets, Iniesta and Xavi. The only set back is his injury record and perhaps the trophies Essien has won”
His comments did not go down with most Ghanaians.
