Dreams FC have completed the signing of Ibrahim Osman formerly of Asante Kotoko.
His acquisition is to bolster Dreams FC who have had a dreadful start to the 2024/2025 Ghana premier league season.
The ‘Still Believe’ lads have been struggling all season long appearing a pale shadow of themselves in the previous season.
Karim Zito’s men have just two wins from the opening fourteen games into the new season and have most strikingly scored just six goals in the process with twelve points—matches played more than points accumulated.
The former Asokwa Deportivo centre forward moved to Asante Kotoko in February 2018 but spent large of his Kotoko spell on loan at city rivals King Faisal.
He registered eight (8) goals and made three (3) assists in fourteen (14) matches for King Faisal before the league was truncated due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The career was nearly cut short by an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury while playing for King Faisal on loan in 2022. He was neglected by parent club Asante Kotoko and was burdened with raising GHS40K to treat his injury.
“I was neglected by Nana Yaw Amponsah and his management. He refused to answer my calls, and now my contract with the club has expired,” he told Angel FM in September 2023.
Dreams FC took to X to announce his move.
“Dreams FC is pleased to announce the signing of Osman Ibrahim on a free transfer. The striker joins us from Asante Kotoko. We’re excited to welcome Osman Ibrahin to the Still believe family and look forward to seeing him in action.🟢⚪
He could make his debut Dreams’s last against Berekum Chelsea on Sunday at the Golden City Park.
