Heart of Lions Head coach Bashir Hayford is coy on winning the 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League title.

Heart of Lions played out an impressive 1-1 draw with Asante Kotoko on match week 26 of the top-flight on Sunday afternoon is currently third on the Premier League standings, accumulating 41 points from 25 matches.

And speaking after the game, the veteran tactician reiterated his outfit desire to annex the title at the end of the season.

“When we get the Premier League title, we will win it. We are targeting on winning more of the remaining matches and if we are up there at the end of the season, then we take it” he said.

Justice Blay opened the scoring for Kotoko with a sublime finish in added time of the first half, giving the visitors a slender lead heading into the break.

However, Heart of Lions responded swiftly, equalizing just two minutes after the restart through Fawzi Ali.

The second half produced end-to-end action, with both sides pushing for a winner, but neither could find the clinical touch in front of goal.

The Kpando-based club will next face Berekum Chelsea, another side in the hunt for a top four finish.
