Clinton Doudou scores in Apollon’s defeat to Aris in Cyprus League

Former Bechem United forward Clinton Duodu scored for Apollon Limassol in their 2-1 defeat to Aris Limassol in the Cyprus league on Sunday.

Duodu opened the scoring in the 31st minute, finishing off a fine move to give Apollon the lead at the Alphamega Stadium.

Gomis had the chance to double his tally and put Aris ahead early in the second half but missed from the penalty spot in the 51st minute.

Despite that miss, the reigning champions kept pushing and were rewarded when Aleksandr Kokorin found the back of the net in the 56th minute to complete the comeback and secure all three points for Aris.

Clinton Doudou has now made 16 appearances for Apollon in his debut season, scoring three goals.
