Carlo Ancelotti led Real Madrid to beat Pachuca in the finals of the inaugural Inter-Continental Cup today.
It gave Ancelotti his 15th silverware with Madrid, as the 65-year-old surpassed Miguel Munoz (also 14 titles) to become the most successful coach in the club’s history.
The Champions League winners had to wait until the 37th minute to break the deadlock, but were largely in control there on at the Lusail Stadium.
Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo and Vinicius Jnr scored all three goals in the one sided final. Ancelotti can increase his tally by winning more trophies this season with Real Madrid competing for the La Liga, Copa del rey and FIFA Club World Cup.
