Asante Kotoko Sporting club held a massive vigil for departed soul Francis Yaw Frimpong AKA “Nana Pooley” on Sunday, 9th February 2025 in Kumasi and it’s environs.
The vigil which commenced from Asokwa (Babayara Sports Stadium) was graced by high profile dignatries from the club. Head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, Sporting Director James Kwasi Appiah, Lawyer Sarfo Duku and Head of Interim Management Committee Nana Apinkrah. The players were not left out, led by Skipper Justice Blay they solemnly took part in the procession.
Francis Frimpong AKA “Nana Pooley” sadly passed after suffering multiple stab injuries at Nsoatre in a Ghana premier league game involving Asante Kotoko.
The Ghana Police Service are currently locked up in investigations in their bid to bring the perpetrators to book.
