The Ghana international scored his 15th Premier League goal for Bournemouth against Chelsea as they secured a point at Stamford Bridge in a thrilling encounter.
Semenyo’s strike in the second second-half almost gave Bournemouth victory until Blues captain Reece James stepped up with a 95th-minute freekick to salvage a point for Enzo Maresca’s side.
The 25-year-old joined the Cherries in January 2023 and gradually became a mainstay at the club. Semenyo has been Bouremouth’s best player this season, with six Premier League goals and two assists.
Following his goal against Chelsea, the former Bristol City player has now scored 15 Premier League goals, and he is now behind Ryan Fraser (16 goals), Junior Stanislas (21), and Dominic Solanke (27) in the club’s leading scorers chart in the English top-flight.The other players above Semenyo on the list are Callum Wilson, with 41 goals, and Josh King, with 47 strikes.
