Thomas Partey put up an impressive performance for Arsenal on Tuesday night, helping the team to secure an emphatic 3-0 win against Real Madrid in the Uefa Champions League.

The Black Stars’ midfield enforcer started the quarter-final first leg tie at Emirates Stadium and lasted the entire duration of the contest.

Giving everything for the team, Partey finished the game with a rating of 7.0, enjoying what will be a memorable victory for him and his Arsenal teammates for years to come.

On the matchday, both teams created chances in the first half, but neither side was able to get on the scoresheet.

The breakthrough came in the 58th minute when midfielder Declan Rice scored with a stunning strike from a direct free-kick.

Later in the 70th minute, Rice pulled a rabbit out of the hat again, scoring with an amazing effort from another direct free-kick.

With the Real Madrid team unable to respond in any way, Arsenal put the game beyond the reach of the Spanish club with a third goal five minutes later, courtesy of a strike from Mikel Merino after he was assisted by Myles Lewis-Skelly.

Arsenal heads the reverse fixture next week with an advantage.
