Market women at the Adum market in Kumasi have expressed regret over not voting for former Vice President and NPP flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, in the December polls.

According to the market women, if they had voted for Bawumia and he had become President, the recent fire outbreak that burnt down part of the Kejetia market market would not have happened.

The Adum traders were spotted wailing and expressing their regret after Dr Mahamudu Bawumia paid a courtesy call on them following the recent fire outbreak that affected the market.

Dr Bawumia, accompanied by one of his top political allies, NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Wontumi), visited the traders and commiserated with them on their recent losses.

Bawumia made a substantial donation to the market women of GH¢200,000 and 1,000 bags of cement to aid in rebuilding their businesses.
