The Black Stars are set to begin preparations for the 2026 World Cup qualifying series by opening camp on Monday, March 17, 2025.

The four-time African champions will play host to Chad on March 21st at the Accra Sports Stadium before traveling to Morocco to face Madagascar on March 24, 2024.

For the first time this year, the four-time African Cup of Nation winners have an opportunity to rekindle their plans of securing qualification to the World Cup having suffered a setback in the 2025 Afcon qualifiers.

Having announced his squad for the matches, coach Otto Addo and his charges are expected to begin preparation at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, with the first training session open to the public.

The team will hold four days of training at the Accra Sports Stadium before taking on their Chadian counterparts on Friday, March 21.

The Black Stars are currently second in Group I with nine points, level with leaders Comoros. The team must secure maximum points to strengthen their qualification bid for the biggest soccer mundial to be held in the USA, Canada and Mexico next year.
