Medeama SC have mutually parted ways with center back Emmanual Cudjoe on the grounds of disrespect demonstrated by the player against club president.
The decision came after an incident in which Cudjoe reportedly acted disrespectfully towards the club president in his absence, leading to a swift response from the club’s management, in what officials say it’s a violation of the team’s code of conduct.
The incident happened after Medeama lost on penalties to PAC Academy in the Ghana FA Cup last month.
Cudjoe, who joined the Mauve and Yellow from Attram de Visser on a three-year deal back in August 2023, has been financially compensated.
The club decided to pay off Cudjoe in accordance with the terms of his contract, ensuring a professional resolution to the matter.
The move underscores Medeama’s commitment to maintaining discipline within the team while handling contractual obligations with respect and fairness.
Cudjoe’s departure is seen as part of the club’s effort to preserve team cohesion and uphold high standards of professionalism as Medeama SC continues its pursuit of success in the domestic league.
Medeama SC, known for its strong stance on discipline and professionalism, took swift action to address the issue, emphasizing the importance of maintaining respect and unity within the club.
The decision to sack the player highlights the club’s commitment to upholding its values and ensuring a positive environment for the team, especially as they aim to achieve success in the Ghanaian top-flight this season.
