Experienced football administrator, Abdul Salam Yakubu has made a bold call on the return of Andre Morgan Dede Ayew to the Black Stars following his superb form in the French ligue 1.
The owner of New Edubiase believes Ayew’s ability to assist or score will be significant in the Black Stars quest to qualify the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“We all know Ayew’s commitment to the Black Stars, and we know if he doesn’t score, he will assist, so I believe Andre Ayew must be given the chance again because we need him,” he added.
Ghana will resume its World Cup qualification with match ups against Chad and Madagascar this month. Ghana is currently second in Group I with nine points.
Having scored 4 goals in 17 appearances in the French ligue, Andre’s return to the national is gaining momentum due to his form at club level and leadership qualities.
